What: With the demise of many financial institutions during the past year, the 27th annual Monetary and Trade Conference at Drexel University will address the tough issues these institutions are facing and what needs to change going forward.A collaborative effort between Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business and the Global Interdependence Center, the conference is aimed at convening top policymakers and business leaders on the important developments in international trade and global monetary policy. This year’s keynote address will feature Dr. William Poole, former president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and a senior fellow at the Cato Institute, who will discuss the failure of the banking system in his talk, “Saying Goodbye to Too Big to Fail.” Where: Drexel University’s Behrakis Grand Hall, Creese Student Center \ (32nd and Chestnut Streets)Who/When: The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon, Thursday, April 30.
