Craigslist Founder Craig Newmark to speak on Drexels campus

What: Craigslist founder Craig Newmark will join Drexel students and faculty for a discussion about the history of Craigslist, the site’s business model and its impact on society during a visit to Drexel University Nov. 24.The discussion will be hosted by Paula Marantz Cohen, distinguished professor of English and a high school friend of Newmark’s. Cohen will not only discuss the site but will interview Newmark on his high school experience. Newmark launched Craigslist in 1995 and has been named one of the “Most Influential People in the World Today” by TIME Magazine. Today, Craigslist serves 14.6 million visitors per month from 108 cities in 52 countries.
