Apparel Inspired by Asian American Counter and Pop Culture at Annual Student Fashion Show

What: The 29th Annual Fashion Show of Drexel’s Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design will feature professional models showcasing the collections of student designers in a full range of clothing categories: evening wear, lingerie, men’s and women’s wear, sportswear, children’s, swimwear, and more. Who: Produced by students in the design and merchandising program, the show rivals any professional show in the commercial fashion world, showcasing six graduate collections and 30 senior collections.Featured student designers include: Vanessa Sanches—A high-end collection for the woman who is fearless, yet feminine. Inspired by the concept of urban armor, the designs incorporate metal and chiffon; chain and cashmere. Rebecca Billante –-Captivated by the femininity and drama of Claire McCardell’s 1940s swimwear, Billante created a modern sportswear collection for the woman who is drawn to unique shapes and luxurious fabrication.
