What/Who: Renowned chef and restaurateur Georges Perrier will visit with local teens at Drexel University’s 11th Street Family Health Services. Perrier will tour a vegetable garden they planted outside the facility, offer tips on how to prepare delicacies from the harvest, and share highlights from his career in the culinary arts. The students are part of the Greater Philadelphia Federation of Settlements “Teens for Good” program that has partnered with Drexel’s health center to offer cooking classes to local teens. Patricia Gerrity, associate dean for community programs at Drexel’s College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP), and Christine Nordstrom Stainton, a member of the CNHP dean’s advisory board, and Diane Cornman-Levy, executive director of the Greater Philadelphia Federation of Settlements, will welcome Perrier to the center.
