A lively half-hour original TV series that features conversations with nationally known and emerging talents in the arts, culture, science and society, “The Drexel InterView” will feature the following guests in September 2007.On WYBE-TV (Channel 35), Philadelphia Public Television: • Kenny Gamble, a Grammy Award-winning record producer and Philadelphia community developer, on Sept. 12 at 9:30 a.m. • Frank Wilson, books editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer, on Sept. 16 at 5 p.m. and Sept. 19 at 9:30 a.m. • Dana Gioia, chair of the National Endowment for the Arts, poet, anthologist, translator and critic, on Sept. 23 at 5 p.m. and Sept. 26 at 9:30 a.m. (both episodes are part two of two) • Paul Muldoon, a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet, on Sept. 30 at 5 p.m.On Drexel University Television (DUTV): • Diane Ravitch, historian of education at New York University, on Sept. 11, 12, 15, 16 and 17 at 10 a.m. • Ellen Goodman, Pulitzer Prize-winning syndicated columnist, on Sept. 18, 19, 22, 23 and 24 at 10 a.m. • Constantine Papadakis, president of Drexel University, on Sept. 25, 26, 29 and 30 at 10 a.m. (all episodes are part one of two)“The Drexel InterView” is hosted by Paula Marantz Cohen, Distinguished Professor of English at Drexel, where she teaches courses in literature, film, and creative writing. The show premiered in 2004 on DUTV, an educational cable station operated as a service of Drexel University. The show has been broadcast on WYBE-TV since July 2007.Cohen is the author of four books of nonfiction, including the award-winning “Silent Film” and “Triumph of the American Myth” (Oxford University Press) and three best-selling novels, including, most recently, “Jane Austen in Scarsdale or Love, Death, and the SATs” (St. Martin's Press).
