What: Drexel University Online will celebrate the first National Distance Learning Week (NDLW), Nov. 12 to 16, with an awards ceremony that will feature Philadelphia Mayor-elect Michael Nutter.Nutter’s keynote address will focus on online learning. Dr. Kenneth E. Hartman, chairman of this year’s NDLW committee and director of academic affairs for Drexel Online, will explain how and why online learning has grown so rapidly and what’s in store for it.At the ceremony, Steven G. Hart, president of the United States Distance Learning Association’s chapter that serves Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, will receive an award for his contributions in promoting online learning.
