Register Today for the Faculty Technology Showcase
Register today for the Office of Information Resources and Technology's Faculty Technology Showcase, to be held on Friday, November 13, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Matheson Hall room 208 (32nd and Chestnut Streets). The annual event is an opportunity for faculty members to demonstrate some of the unique ways they are using technology in their courses. Featured topics at the Showcase include "Gaming Technology in the Classroom," "Application of Online Tools in a Graduate Management Course," "Google Earth and Google SketchUp," "Fostering Faculty Participation in Online Learning" and "Discussion Visualizations in Blackboard Vista." The Showcase coincides with National Distance Learning Week (http://www.ndlw.org), the purpose of which is to "generate greater awareness and appreciation for distance learning, including K-12, Higher Education, Corporate and Military, while recognizing leaders and best practices in the field."
