There was a special solar-bration on Drexel University’s University City Campus on Aug. 21 during which Dragons flocked to Perelman Plaza to view the historic solar eclipse. Beyond a shadow of the doubt, it was the highlight of the Monday (Moonday?) of Week 9.
Dragons showed up with their own special eclipse glasses, eclipse boxes and pinhole projectors and stood on the pavement, benches, grass and even the roof of Disque Hall to take in the sun-sational view. The sun worshippers also lined up to look at the stunning eclipse through special solar telescopes provided by the Physics Department in the College of Arts and Sciences.
In case you were in the dark about the special viewing party, here are some of the photo highlights of the event. Note: special solar glasses NOT needed to look at these photos.
