Drexel Plasma Institute Opens at Camden Waterfront

Philadelphia, PA, April 28, 2011 — Drexel University and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority marked the move of the A.J. Drexel Plasma Institute to the Camden Waterfront Technology Center April 21, with at ribbon-cutting ceremony. Drexel President John A. Fry and Congressman Robert Andrews, who played a fundamental role in securing funding for the facility, were at the ceremony along with Drexel students, faculty and professional staff.  The University seized the opportunity to move into the state-of-the art facility that had been vacant for two years and will now foster the growth of one of the nation's preeminent institutes in plasma engineering.
