More than 170 Drexel University College of Medicine faculty members were selected by Best Doctors Inc. for Best Doctors in America 2011-12. Only about 5 percent of physicians practicing in the United States are selected each year.

Founded in 1989 by two Harvard Medical School physicians, Best Doctors is a medical consultation service that provides access to medical expertise and care advocacy for employers, insurers and health plans. The service chooses the physicians for its proprietary Best Doctors database through a continuous peer-to-peer survey of the medical profession.
