College of Medicine hosts breast cancer symposium

May 13, 2008

Physicians and scientists at Drexel University College of Medicine will gather to present the latest in breast cancer research during an interdisciplinary scientific symposium taking place at the college this weekend. Faculty from the College of Medicine will be joined by researchers from the university's College of Engineering and the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science, and Health Systems to exchange ideas for future collaborations in translational medicine and applied biotechnology. The symposium will be held on Saturday, May 17 inside the Student Activity Center, 2900 Queen Lane, Philadelphia.

"This is an exciting opportunity to join with a cross section of professionals from the basic sciences, clinical departments, and biotechnology partners from our engineering colleagues at Drexel to exchange research goals and project ideas," said Kenny Simansky, PhD, vice dean for research at Drexel University College of Medicine.
