Mark E. Alden, MD, has been appointed as interim chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Drexel University College of Medicine. Alden, a clinical associate professor, has been with the College since 2000. He became vice-chair in 2002.

Dr. Alden is a board-certified radiation oncologist who completed his training at Jefferson Medical College/Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He joined Jefferson's faculty in 2003 and later held positions at TriCounty Regional Cancer Center and at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He has been published in several journals including Radiology and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology.
