Internal Medicine Residents Become Regional “Medical Jeopardy” Champs

October 26, 2007

A team of residents from Drexel University College of Medicine is getting their buzzers ready for the next round of competition after winning the Southeastern Pennsylvania regional round of the American College of Physicians' national medical jeopardy competition, Doctor's Dilemma.

The Drexel team beat out seven other residency programs, including last year's national champs Albert Einstein Medical Center. Up to 40 teams of residents from around the nation compete for the coveted title of national champion. The Drexel team will now move on to the Northeastern United States competition, to be held December 2 in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Drexel team members are: Joseph Vadakara, Gayathri Nagaraj, Vaibhab Sahni and Petros Grivas. Chief resident Archana Gowda served as coach and instructor.
