He is a national expert in lead extraction, which is the removal of one or more leads or wires that deliver energy from a pacemaker or implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD). Dr. Kutalek places in the top tier in the U.S. for the number of lead extractions successfully performed. He serves as a consultant for device companies for future lead technology.
