Kymberly Elles is board certified as a women's health nurse practitioner and has worked in both private and faculty practices. In addition to her work educating nurses, physician assistants, residents, and medical students, she maintains a WHNP practice with the College of Medicine. Dr. Elles is an active member of the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, American College of Nurse Practitioners, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and Sigma Theta Tau International. She also serves as an ambassador for the American Conversation about Women and Leadership, Vision 20/20.

Dr. Elles has a deep-rooted interest in HPV and cervical cancer in women, particularly women age 40 and older. Additionally, she has participated in mission work to the Dominican Republic providing problem-based care and educational services to underserved women.

Kymberly Elles is a clinical associate professor as well as the director of the Drexel University Partnership for Interprofessional Education. She is the chair of the Nurse Practitioner program at Drexel, and is the first nursing faculty to hold a joint appointment as associate clinical professor at the College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP) and the College of Medicine.

The first non-physician to be awarded the Dr. Constantine Papadakis Recognition Award for Innovation in Education in the Field of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Elles is currently the director of the Drexel University Partnership for Interprofessional Education, an initiative that coordinates collaboration between students in the College of Medicine and the College of Nursing and Health Professions, using multi-level fidelity and standardized patients in simulated emergency situations in order to increase patient safety and quality of care.

Dr. Elles received her BSN from Thomas Jefferson University and her MSN as a women's health care nurse practitioner from the University of Pennsylvania. She obtained her DrNP from Drexel University in 2009.
