Christina M. Cestone, PhD, is the associate dean for assessment and evaluation at Drexel University College of Medicine. Prior to coming to Drexel, she worked at the University of Texas Medical Branch in the Institute for Translational Sciences, where she provided instructional- and assessment-related consultations to clinical and scientific faculty. She also planned, designed and conducted educational research and evaluation in collaboration with clinical and scientific faculty. Dr. Cestone guided administrative aspects of the interprofessional program, including course management, student and faculty recruitment, and program communications and served as the educational liaison between UTMB’s School of Medicine, Graduate School of Biological Sciences, and Institute for Translational Sciences on program-related projects and curriculum. Dr. Cestone teaches on topics such as programmatic evaluation, educational research design, peer-assessment and principles of learning for college teaching.
