Dr. Jin is a research assistant professor in the Department of Neurobiology & Anatomy at Drexel University College of Medicine.



Dr. Ying Jin completed postdoctoral training at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and the University of Kentucky.

Her research is focused on spinal cord injury, using multiple approaches to protect an injured spinal cord, reduce scar formation, and promote axonal regeneration and functional recovery. She is currently working on a combination stem cell transplanation and gene therapy treatment to bridge the lesion cavity, reduce glial scarring,and promote and guide axonal growth after a spinal cord injury, especially in the chronic stages of the injury.
