Renee Turchi, MD, MPH, FAAP, is the medical director of the Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Pa., where she oversees a primary care practice dedicated to children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN), including a fetal alcohol spectrum disorders program/NICU primary care follow-up program and grants. Her research and clinical work around care coordination, maternal/child health, and children and youth with special health care needs have been presented and published in multiple national forums.

In addition, Dr. Turchi is the medical director of the Pennsylvania Medical Home Program and Transition Program, a statewide program for pediatric and family practices across Pennsylvania funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Health-Title V and the Maternal Child Health Bureau (pamedicalhomeprogram.org).

After completing her undergraduate degree at Cornell University and medical school at Medical College of Pennsylvania, Dr. Turchi completed residency and chief residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Subsequently, she attended the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars program at Johns Hopkins University where she received her master's in public health.

Dr. Turchi was named the 2017 Pediatrician of the Year by the Pennsylvania chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
