Rebecca Kurnik Seshasai, MD, MSHP, is a board-certified nephrologist practicing in Center City Philadelphia. Prior to coming to Drexel, she was an attending nephrologist at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She has also served as a staff nephrologist at DaVita Dialysis in Philadelphia.

Dr. Seshasai has a special interest in home dialysis, and is the director of home dialysis services at Drexel.

Rebecca Kurnik Seshasai, MD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology & Hypertension at Drexel University College of Medicine. In addition to educating renal fellows, medicine house staff, and rotating medical students, she serves as faculty preceptor for the Physical Diagnosis Course for second-year medical students.

Home hemodialysis (HHD), specifically reducing discontinuation/improving retention and increasing utilization of HHD

Research

Dr. Seshasai served as a postdoctoral fellow and clinical researcher at the University of Pennsylvania from 2012 to 2015, during which time she was awarded the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (F32) from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) for a grant entitled: "Underutilization of Home Hemodialysis.”
