About the 2013 Leaders Forum
This year's forum once again opened with a panel of three deans and their ELAM fellows discussing their collaborative work in developing Institutional Action Projects (IAPs) that advance organizational initiatives and leadership opportunities, including descriptions of how the IAPs were selected and how they are working together. The conversation focused on how the concepts of mentorship and sponsorship aided in IAP creation and implementation.
The panel was followed by a poster reception, which provided time for learning about numerous IAPs through viewing and listening to short presentations. Fellows presented brief overviews of their projects to colleagues and guests who visited their station.
The forum concluded with four concurrent symposium sessions (divided into research, education, clinical and administration topics) during which each fellow gave a brief summary of the status and potential of her project to colleagues, deans, and guests, followed by a period of question, answer, and discussion.
