About the Standardized Patient Program
The Standardized Patient (SP) program trains and tests participants and students from a wide range of medical disciplines throughout the stages of their medical education or career. Using a creative and innovative approach, standardized patients are vigorously trained and validated on assigned cases and procedures, providing those in the program with real life scenarios.
The Clinical Education Assessment Center
Drexel University College of Medicine's Clinical Education Assessment Center (CEAC) provides a custom-designed setting where students can learn, practice and be evaluated on the skills they will need to communicate and work effectively with patients. The Clinical Education Assessment Center is also an ideal facility for continuing education for physicians and other practicing health professionals.
The design of the Clinical Education Assessment Center in combination with the Standardized Patient program provides an extremely useful and adaptable teaching and assessment tool.
