Career Counseling Services
The Steinbright Career Development Center is available for all matriculated Pathologists' Assistant (PathA) students as well as graduates of the program. Pathologists' Assistant (PathA) program faculty will also strive to provide their professional input for interested students.
Office of University Student Life
The Office of University Student Life centralizes, coordinates, and provides co-curricular programs, services, activities, and opportunities for all Drexel University students. Student Life provides opportunities that enhance and complement the student's academic experiences, offers assistance in times of personal difficulty, and engages with students in the fullness of human growth and development through recreation, study, and service. In keeping with the University's commitment to diversity, the Office of University Student Life encourages programs that help students develop an appreciation for people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. The office also provides services for students with disabilities.
Residential Life
Stiles Alumni Hall houses up to 315 undergraduate and graduate students from the Center City and Queen Lane campuses. For more information, call 215.553.7400 or Residential Living Office.
The Center for Academic Success
The Center for Academic Success provides comprehensive academic support services. Individual or small group tutoring is offered for all courses in the schools. Study skill assistance in the form of personal consultations with study skill advisors as well as workshops, printed materials, videos, and software is available. Students are able to use the microcomputer lab, audiovisual aids (text, video, and models), computer-assisted instruction, and reference texts located in the center. The center is located on the first floor of the New College Building and is open Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For information, contact the center at 215.762.8121.
Libraries
Four library branches serve the educational, clinical, and research needs of Drexel University. These branches house more than 185,000 volumes, receive more than 2,000 current journal subscriptions, and use up-to-date information technologies to provide access to institutional and intramural information sources. Library collections are searchable through online catalogs at all library sites or remotely via the campus network or modem. Also available are MEDLINE, the primary database of biomedical information, and specialized databases, including PsycLIT (psychology) and PDQ (cancer). PCs and Macintosh computers are available, as well as computer-assisted instruction and simulation programs.
Bookstore
The University Bookstore is the official full-service store for the Center City Campus. It stocks all required and recommended texts for all courses taught at the campus, as well as an extensive selection of reference titles and electronic media for undergraduate and graduate medical and health sciences education. A special-order service for any book in print is available. The University Store also carries a full line of medical instruments, lab coats, stationery, school supplies, insignia clothing, giftware, greeting cards, general reading materials, computer software, and accessories. Film processing and a college ring ordering service are also available. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and personal checks are welcome. The store is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Office of Equity and Inclusive Culture (EIC)
Drexel University's Office of Equity and Inclusive Culture acts as a resource and advocate for diverse student populations regarding their social and personal inquiries, issues, concerns, and suggestions. The office plans and implements a variety of multicultural social and educational programs for the University community and around specific diversity and multicultural celebrations.
