Pulse, the beat of the Drexel University College of Medicine community–highlighting research, clinical and education news, special events and noteworthy accomplishments–recently took home a gold award at the 2012 MarCom Awards in the "Employee Publication/Internal Newsletter" category.

The MarCom Awards is an international competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals. It is one of the largest competitions of its kind in the world.

The event is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. Judges look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.

Pulse debuted in August 2012, replacing the NewsPager as the College of Medicine's official publication. It is published six times per year and is distributed on campus and mailed to alumni. See past issues of Pulse.
