Global Health Education Upon Your Return

Drexel University College of Medicine students on a global health experience in Santa Cruz.

Upon your return, please meet with the Office of Global Health Education for debriefing. As part of your experience, we require you and your host mentor to complete an evaluation. Through this process, we hope that you reflect on and teach others about your experiences and that you enhance your global health learning.

Opportunities for Continued Global Health Learning

After an international experience, many students look to get involved in global health efforts taking place in Philadelphia.

You can learn more about these organizations as well as other community outreach opportunities on the Office of Community Engagement website.

Scholarly Activities

We encourage students to enhance their global health experience through scholarly activities such as research projects, conference presentations, and publications.

Publications

Students can submit their work to publications at Drexel or international journals of their choice. View a list of resources and recommendations for medical students who want to publish their research.

Share Your Experience

In order to raise global health awareness at Drexel, we hope that you'll share your experience. You can do so online or in person by doing the following:

  • Write a reflective journal or essay about your experiences for us to post online for other students. Inclusion of pictures and videos is highly encouraged as well.
  • Present your experiences or research projects to others in a public forum.
