Refund Policy
Once an accepted fellow submits her Intent to Participate form, the following refund schedule goes into effect:

Withdrawal prior to June 12, 2023
|
100% refund of program fee
|
|
Withdrawal between June 12 and July 12, 2023
|
70% refund of program fee
|
|
Withdrawal after July 12, 2023
|
Program fees will not be refunded

Fellowship Extension
At the discretion of the director, consideration will be given to constructing a plan to enable graduation from the program should an unexpected work or personal event prevent a fellow from attending a session and/or completing the required assignments. Graduation from the program will not be awarded until all required assignments and activities have been completed. All requirements must be completed within 14 months from the original graduation date. Program fees are not refundable (per the Refund Policy noted above) and additional fees will be incurred at a rate of $300 per day plus travel and lodging for any additional onsite time required to complete the fellowship. All fees must be paid prior to participating in the designated session(s).

Resources for Fellows
Blackboard
The ELAM fellowship uses Blackboard for course materials, discussion boards, and other interactive learning throughout the year. You will be expected to spend about one hour a week on this platform interacting with your class members and faculty. The address to access the course is learn.dcollege.net. You must allow pop-up windows and have JavaScript and cookies enabled in your web browser to access the site. You should also install a current version of the Java plug-in for your browser.
If you forget your username or password, you will need to contact the Instructional Technology Group at Drexel to get your password reset. Their email address is itg@drexel.edu and they will be happy to assist you with that issue. The ELAM staff does not have access to passwords, or the ability to change them.
LinkedIn
ELAM has a group on LinkedIn which you may also wish to participate in. This is a place to get to know ELAM alumnae from other classes, and to participate in an informal network of ELAM alumnae for discussions, job postings, reading about and getting to know each other, and support from a large network of executive women in academic health centers. If you do not yet have a LinkedIn account, you will need to create one in order to join the ELAM group – if you already have one, you can just join right up!

The Institute continues the legacy of advancing women in medicine that began in 1850 with the founding of the Female Medical College of Pennsylvania, the nation's first women's medical school and a predecessor of today's Drexel University College of Medicine.
