PhD student Maria Lukatskaya (advisor: Yury Gogotsi) and co-authors PhD student Michael Ghidiu (advisor: Michel Barsoum), PhD student Olha Mashtalir (advisor: Yury Gogotsi), PhD student Chang (Evelyn) Ren (advisor: Yury Gogotsi), postdoctoral researcher Mengqiang Zhao, and dual degree PhD student Yohan Dall’Agnese (advisor: Yury Gogotsi) won second place in the Electrochemical Society’s (ECS) student poster competition at the 227th ECS meeting in Chicago for their poster titled "Cation Intercalation and High Volumetric Capacitance of Two-Dimensional Titanium Carbide." The poster received the award in the Electrochemical category.

Drexel was well represented at the meeting with six Drexel people presenting papers and posters, including an invited talk by Drexel Materials research associate professor Dr. Vadym Mochalin.
