May Receives 2015 Bradley Stoughton Award

Drexel Materials Assistant Professor Steven May is the 2015 recipient of the ASM International Bradley Stoughton Award for Young Teachers. May is being recognized for his “dedication and enthusiasm in teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students and for broadening awareness of materials science among high school students.” The award and an honorarium of $3,000 will be presented to May at the ASM Awards Dinner scheduled to take place during the Materials Science & Technology 2015 Conference and Exhibition (MS&T’15), October 5-8, 2015 in Columbus, OH. May is the fifth Drexel Materials faculty member to receive the Stoughton award; previous recipients include Christopher Li (2006), Linda Schadler (1997), Diran Apelian (1980), and Dick Heckel (1969).
