William MacLuckie Receives AIST Foundation FeMET Scholarship

B.S./M.S. student William MacLuckie (advisor:  Steven May) is one of ten students to receive a 2014-2015 Association for Iron and Steel Technology (AIST) Foundation Ferrous Metallurgy Education Today (FeMET) Scholarship. 

The $5,000 scholarship exists to increase the number of students studying engineering in North America and to encourage students to pursue careers in the iron and steel industry upon graduation. The scholarship also includes a paid internship during the summer of 2014.   William will be working at Nucor Steel Hertford County, where he completed his first co-op.

All 2014-2015 scholarship awardees will presented with a certificate at the Materials Science and Technology (MS&T) 2014 Conference during the Student Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, 14 Oct 2014 in Pittsburgh, PA.
