Department Head and Professor Michele Marcolongo has been elected to the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) College of Fellows.

Fellows are elected as a result of important contributions to the field of biomedical engineering.  Nominees are peer reviewed by the College of Fellows Selection Committee, submitted for election, and approved by the votes of the entire College of Fellows.  Fellows make up only 2% of the AIMBE membership.

Marcolongo will be inducted as Fellow on Monday, March 24th at AIMBE’s 2014 Annual Event in Washington, DC at the National Academy of Sciences.

Founded in 1991, AIMBE serves to advocate on issues impacting the medical and biological engineering community.
