Undergraduate students and faculty nominate graduate student TAs for the awards, and recipients are determined by a Teaching Excellence Committee appointed by the Associate Vice Provost for Graduate Studies. The 2012 awards were presented at the Graduate Student Day event, held on May 30, 2012.
