IGERTIGERT

Ph.D. students Kristy Jost and Carlos Perez, both advised by Distinguished University and Trustee Chair Professor Yury Gogotsi, are representing the Drexel/UPenn National Science Foundation Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship (NSF-IGERT) program in the 2012 IGERT Video and Poster Competition.  Their video is one of 114 presentations representing each of the NSF-IGERT programs around the country.

The presentations are being judged by 50 NSF-IGERT faculty for a total of 20 awards.  An additional four awards are voted on by the larger NSF-IGERT community and there is one general "Public Choice" award voted on by the public at large.  Voting is available through 12 PM on May 25, 2012.

Footage from the video includes interdisciplinary research conducted between Professor Gogotsi's Nanomaterials Laboratory and Program Director of Drexel's Department of Fashion Design Prof. Genevieve Dion's Shima Seki Haute Tech Laboratory.
