Anthony Musey

Undergraduate, Co-op

Anthony Musey

Where did you co-op?
I co-oped at Rohm and Haas in Spring House, PA, a specialty materials company with products used in industries such as construction, electronic devices, personal care, and pharmaceuticals.

What did you do?
I worked in the Architectural and Functional Coatings Process and Technology department. The department produced polymers to be used in various consumer products such as industrial paints, as well as human hair and skin personal care products such as lotions, shampoo, shaving cream, and hair gel. By testing the physical properties, we were able to determine if the polymers displayed the ideal or desired properties and how they would perform when used.

The best part about working while in school...
...is to see the real world application of what you‘re learning in the classroom.

How did your co-op affect your career goals?
After working with personal care products, I developed the desire to work with materials that can be used either on or within the human body.
