Bridging the Gap: Documentary Screening and Panel

Thursday, April 27, 2017

7:00 PM-8:30 PM

"America's youth will develop into the leaders of tomorrow, and will bring with them their perceptions and understanding of the world around them - including their understanding of the police."

Through the lens of West Philadelphia middle school students, Bridging the Gap, briefly documents the daily life on the job for Philadelphia police officers.

Filmed, produced and edited by students, this film will serve as a community conversation starter about the relationships between the police and the communities they serve. Following the screening, a panel of guests - including former Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey - will lead the discussion.
