Sneha Guwalani
Hi! My name is Sneha Guwalani and I am a second year Drexel Community Scholar. I am from New Jersey and am a sophomore Physical Therapy major. At Drexel, I am an active member of the Pre-Physical Therapy Club as well as Circle K! I love to do service and if you do too, you should definitely volunteer and encourage your friends to do so as well!

My site is the People's Emergency Center near 39th and Lancaster, specifically Digital Inclusion (DI). At DI, we aim to bridge the digital divide by providing classes and distributing computers to students off all ages and provide them with the technology skills necessary for success in the 21st century. Each student that goes through one of the programs receives a computer with low cost broadband in order for them to have access to technology after the class as well. Students often bring their computers back to DI if they are experiencing any problems.

Therefore, there are many jobs for volunteers. There is a computer lab at DI that is open Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM for the adults to walk in at any time and after 3 PM for school programming (Six Grade Scholars and Teen Network Team). This lab requires lab attendants for walk in hours and lab TAs for when the classes are taking place. In addition, DI needs volunteers for administration work as well volunteers who are tech savy and can do repairs on computers.
