Adjunct Professor Veronica Finkelstein, an assistant U.S. attorney with the Department of Justice in Philadelphia, received the 2016 Drexel University Adjunct Award for Teaching Excellence.

Finkelstein has served on the adjunct faculty since 2010, teaching Appellate Advocacy, Sales Law and Criminal Procedure: Investigations.

In addition to teaching courses in the JD program, Finkelstein also teaches in the Master of Legal Studies program.

Finkelstein has also coached members of the Moot Court Board and supervised students completing co-op placements with the Office of the U.S. Attorney.

“This is such a well-deserved honor,” said Associate Dean for Experiential Learning Susan L. Brooks. “We have long cherished Veronica as a co-op supervisor and mentor as well.”

Before joining the Department of Justice, Finkelstein practiced at Duane Morris, Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman and served as a clerk at the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
