Philadelphia Bar Association Forum to Focus on Future Directions for Kline School of Law

Dean Roger Dennis and Thomas R. Kline

October 29, 2014

Dean Roger Dennis and attorney Thomas R. Kline will discuss future plans for the law school and the Thomas R. Kline Institute of Trial Advocacy at the Philadelphia Bar Association Chancellor’s Forum on Nov. 10.

Kline, a founding partner of Kline & Specter, PC and nationally celebrated trial lawyer, made the single largest gift to Drexel in the University’s history, committing $50 million to the law school in September 2014. As part of his gift, Kline conveyed the historic Beneficial Savings Fund Society Building at 12th and Chestnut streets, which will be renovated to house a state-of-the-art facility for students to build and hone their advocacy skills.

He and Dennis will discuss challenges in legal education, the unique path the law school is charting and the Kline School of Law’s role in the Philadelphia legal community.

The forum will be held at noon in the 11th Floor Conference Center of the Philadelphia Bar Association at 1101 Market St. Registration is required.
