Biography

Kevin Woodson’s scholarship focuses on race and the legal profession and corporate culture. He is also interested in issues of civil rights law.

Professor Woodson received his doctorate in sociology from Princeton University, where he was a Woodrow Wilson Scholar, Arthur Liman Public Interest Research Fellow and chair of Community Service for the Black Graduate Caucus.

He practiced law with Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr in Washington, D.C., where his activities included representing corporations under investigation for alleged healthcare and accounting fraud as well as work on civil rights litigation against law enforcement officials in Texas.

He received his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was the John Olin Fellow in Law and Economics and chaired the Yale Black Law Students Association.
