Class of 2009

Megan Feehan, an associate at Cozen O’Connor, was named a 2013 Super Lawyer in family law.

Nathan Fox, an associate at Begley, Carlin & Mandio LLP in Bucks County, was named a 2014 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in the area of Land Use and Zoning law.

Jason Gromley was promoted to vice president of government relations at Strategic Health Care in Washington, D.C.

Michael Hogan is an associate at Conrad O’Brien in Philadelphia, where he focuses on complex commercial and product liability actions.

Sandra Lex is an associate at Flaster/Greenberg in Philadelphia and Cherry Hill, N.J., where she works in the Intellectual Property and Litigation Departments.

Daniel Siedman is an associate at Ciardi Ciardi & Astin in Center City Philadelphia, where he focuses his practice on corporate litigation and bankruptcy.

Brian Sumner is an associate at Burns White in Philadelphia, where is a member of the firm’s Worker’s Compensation Group.

Joshua Voss, an associate at Conrad O’Brien, is one of three attorneys representing Pennsylvania Treasurer Robert McCord and state Sen. Jake Corman in a complaint alleging that the $60 million fines the NCAA levied against Pennsylvania State University in response to the Jerry Sandusky sex-abuse case violate state law.

Class of 2010

Michael J. Connolly is an associate at Marshall Dennehey in Scranton, Pa., where he primarily handles matters involving premises, automotive and general liability.

Raphael Duran’s article, “The Disregarded Diagnosis – How to Litigate the Termination Petition without an Unreasonable Contest,” was published in Defense Digest in December 2013. He is an associate in Marshall Dennehey’s Workers’ Compensation Practice, based in Philadelphia.

Abby Golin is a compliance auditor at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, Pa.

Gene Markin, an associate at Stark & Stark in Lawrenceville, N.J., co-wrote an article, “Internal Affairs of N.J. Condo Associations Are Free from Outside Challenges,” which appeared in the New Jersey Law Journal in March 2014.

Talia Offord was appointed by the mayor of Phoenix, Ariz. to a three-year term on the city Environmental Quality Commission.  An attorney at Schneider & Onofry, P.C., she recently obtained defense verdicts in a jury trial involving claimed injuries in a motor vehicle accident and at arbitration by successfully asserting the sudden medical emergency defense.

Giselle Pomerleau is a research and writing attorney with the Federal Public Defender in the District of New Jersey.

Chad Strausbaugh is a staff attorney at Cellular One in Wayne, Pa.

Class of 2011

Kevin Anderson is an associate at Philadelphia-based Stradley Ronon, where he focuses his practice on intellectual property law and intellectual property litigation.  He currently works in the firm’s Malvern, Pa. office.

Joseph Levin is on active duty with the U.S. Army JAG Corps, serving as chief of the Installation Claims Office and Installation Tax Center at Fort Sill, Okla.  In July, he will relocate to the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland, where he will be an administrative law attorney with the JAG Corps.

J. Nicole Martin is an associate at Cozen O’Connor, where she is a member of the firm’s Health Law Department.

Aristotel Moumas is an associate at Capehart Scatchard in Mt. Laurel, N.J., where he is a member of the firm’s Worker’s Compensation Department.

Monica Platt, along with two other Schnader Harrison attorneys, scored a victory on behalf of The Philadelphia Inquirer and the Patriot-News of Harrisburg, which contested a Pennsylvania Department of Corrections policy preventing the press and public from witnessing lethal injection executions in their entirety.  The matter was settled after a judge from the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania granted the attorneys’ motion.

Michael Sanford is an attorney-advisor at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, D.C.

Blair Thompson was promoted to assistant public defender II in the Circuit Court Misdemeanor Jury Trial Unit of the Office of the Public Defender, in Baltimore, Md.

Nicole Allen is the director of policy and community engagement for the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.

Jon-Jorge Aras a partner at Spadea, Lanard & Lignana LLC, where he focuses his practice on securities and franchise-related litigation.

Patrick Bello is an associate at Enterprise Law Associates LLC, a boutique business firm in Philadelphia.

Sean Bigley is a Public Service Fellow with the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, where he recently negotiated a settlement on behalf of a low-income couple who were about to be evicted from their apartment weeks before giving birth to a child.

Meghan Carney is an assistant district attorney at the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.

Sarah Delhauer is associate counsel at the Board of Veterans’ Appeals in Washington, D.C.

John Kuehne is deputy attorney general at the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General in Trenton, where he works in the Environmental Practice Group, and he taught a class in the spring at Drexel’s Center for Public Policy.  

Rachel Shaffer is an associate at Fendrick & Morgan, a firm in Voorhees, N.J., where she specializes in estate planning, estate administration and elder law. 

Claudia Shank was appointed assistant county solicitor in Lancaster County.

Mourin (Khaleel) Thomas is a staff attorney at Capital Health System in Trenton, N.J.

Jonathan Wheeland is an assistant city solicitor for the City of Philadelphia, where he is in the Real Estate and Economic Development Division.

Dorcas Adekunle is the deputy campaign manager for New Jersey State Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson Coleman, who recently won a hard-fought Democratic primary in the 12th Congressional District race.

Stephen Kulp is an associate at Delany McBride, where he works in both Philadelphia and Woodbury, N.J.

India McGhee is clerking for Judge Ramy I. Djerassi of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.

Josef Mensah is an associate at Troy Law, PLLC in New York City, where he chiefly handles wage and overtime disputes under the Federal Labor Standards Act. He performed at the New York City Bar Association’s Talent Night on May 30.

Scott Molski is an assistant city solicitor with the City of Philadelphia.

Todd Nothstein is clerking for Judge Frederica Massiah-Jackson of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.

Matthew Solin is an associate at Kunz & Germick in Ardmore, Pa. where he focuses his practice on workers’ compensation defense.

Jazamine Stallings is an assistant public defender at the Public Defender’s Office in Luzerne County.

Mina Thomas is an associate at Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg in Center City, where he is a member of the Real Estate & Finance Department.

Carling Donovan will begin work as an assistant district attorney with the Bronx District Attorney’s Office.

Laura Gordon will clerk for the Honorable Sue Robinson of the U.S. District Court in the District of Delaware.

Virginia Gordon is set to begin working for the U.S. Department of Justice Executive Office for Immigration Review.

Christina Haines will begin work as an associate at Duane Morris, based in the firm’s office in Washington, D.C.

Brett Kaminsky will begin working for Eckert Seamans, where he will be an associate in the Litigation Department’s Professional Liability Practice Group. 

Irene Lehne will clerk for the Honorable Gregory Sleet, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court in the District of Delaware.

Brittany Wakim will start work as an associate at Eckert Seamans, where she will join the Litigation Department’s Professional Liability Practice Group.

Brad Wilhelm will start work as senior policy advisor at the Department of Vermont Health Access.

Michael Gersie (Class of 2015) will work this summer at Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano, a firm that represents plaintiffs in workers’ compensation cases as a Peggy Browning Fund fellow.

Angus Dowton (Class of 2016) is spending his 2L summer in the management section of the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, South Korea as an intern the U.S. Department of State.

Emily Derstine Friesen (Class of 2016) will spend the summer working with Friends of Farmworks, as a Peggy Browning Fund fellow.

Ryan MCarthy (Class of 2016) will spend the summer working at Sheet Metal Workers Local Union No. 19 in Philadelphia as a Peggy Browning Fund fellow.
