MLS Overview

The Kline School of Law Master of Legal Studies is a versatile degree for nonlawyers interested in developing advanced legal knowledge and compliance skills. As businesses and organizations face an ever-changing array of laws and regulations, a Master of Legal Studies provides the opportunity to help employers face those challenges. Our MLS is suited to students with diverse or changing interests who may wish to pursue careers in a range of professional settings. The core curriculum gives you a solid grounding in law, legal analysis, and risk assessment and management that applies to all industries. The remainder of the curriculum is flexible, allowing students to take a combination of courses from different fields, from cybersecurity to criminal law, to financial compliance and beyond.
