Students Win Award for Second-Place Brief at Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition

Two members of the Moot Court Board won the award for Second-Place Brief at the Federal Bar Association’s Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition on March 21.

Brooke Chung Scicchitano, a 2L, and Stephen Schroy, Bradey Bowen and Joshua Ullman, 3Ls, represented the school in the prestigious competition in Washington, D.C.

The respondents’ brief written by Scicchitano and Schroy received the Second Place award out of 40 briefs in the competition.

The students were coached by Veronica Finkelstein, an adjunct professor and assistant U.S. attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Peter Johnsen, ’15, an attorney with The Beasley Firm, and Allie Hallmark, an attorney with Cohen Seglias.
