Professor David DeMatteo Elected a Director of American Board of Forensic Psychology

Professor David DeMatteo was elected to a six-year term on the American Board of Forensic Psychology’s Board of Directors.

DeMatteo will serve from 2018 through 2023 as a director for the board, which oversees board certification in forensic psychology for the American Board of Professional Psychology.

The director of the JD-PhD in Law and Clinical Psychology program, DeMatteo is a recognized leader in the overlapping disciplines.  The co-author of “Evaluating Juvenile Transfer and Disposition: Law, Science, and Practice,” DeMatteo is the author of seven other books and more than 90 articles and book chapters on forensic mental health assessment, offender diversion and drug-involved criminal offenders, DeMatteo has served as president of the American Psychology-Law Society and chaired the American Psychological Association’s Committee on Legal Issues in 2011.
