Professor Bret Asbury Tapped for Provost’s Fellowship Program

Bret Asbury

January 27, 2016

Professor Bret Asbury is one of seven Drexel professors chosen for a fellowship program created by University Executive Vice President and Provost Brian Blake.

One of the inaugural fellows, Asbury will help plan and develop a “pre-co-op” experience that would allow select first-year undergraduate students to enter the workplace before the classroom, instead of waiting until their second or third year to begin their placements.

Students at the Kline School of Law typically complete their co-op placements in their second or third year, working at law firms, corporate general counsel offices, government agencies, the courts or public-interest law organizations.

The Provost’s Fellowship Program was designed to give outstanding faculty the opportunity to work with senior administration on strategic projects to enhance academic experiences at Drexel.
