March 26, 2014

The Trial Team capped a successful season by advancing to the semi-finals in the American Association of Justice Trial Regional Competition in Pittsburgh on March 22 and 23.

3Ls Kathie Martinez and Jasleen Singh and 2Ls Katherine Constantine and Elia Robertson were one of the final four teams in the prestigious competition.  The team was coached by Professor Brian Kent, a partner at Laffey Bucci Kent, Professor Matt Leckman, a partner at Pogust Braslow & Millrood, and attorney Drew Sciola.

Earlier this winter, 3Ls Brett Kaminsky and Brittany Wakim advanced to the finals in the highly competitive regional rounds of the Texas Lawyer Association's National Trial Competition. They were undefeated going into the final round. 3L Abbie Heller and 2L Zach Wynkoop advanced to the semi-finals in the regional competition, where they, too, were undefeated going into that round.

3L Alexandra McGee was named Best Oral Advocate in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition.
