Data Security Initiative
May 28, 2014
Drexel has begun a data security initiative, part of a comprehensive security, privacy and compliance program, to better protect academic, medical, financial and other sensitive personal records entrusted to the University. As part of this initiative, all University-owned computers will be encrypted using Sophos SafeGuard by the end of 2014. More information about the encryption process can be found on the Computer Encryption page.
Prior to encryption, we strongly recommend that you back up your data with a reputable and reliable backup service. Drexel offers CrashPlan ProE at $7/month per user. See our CrashPlan page for more information. Otherwise, your data may be at risk for loss.
For more information about this initiative, see our Data Security Initiative page.
