Korman's First Collaborative Classroom
July 10, 2013
Room 111 will be Korman's first collaborative classroom, designed to allow students to work in groups instead of the typical classroom side-by-side setup. It features workstations, or islands, where students can interact with each other at the same station. Each island has a master display where the instructor can show the class material, or the students can display their work for each group to see. The room also features pop-up displays for individual desktops. This room will help facilitate the "flipped" classroom model, where students focus on projects and on solving problems rather than on lecture material.
