Network Service Interruption for Selected Buildings

A planned outage has been scheduled for Network and Telephone Service at Specified Buildings from Friday, June 17, 2016 at 5:00 AM until Friday, June 17, 2016 at 6:00 AM. Drexel Network service including wired, wireless, Internet and Drexel IP telephones will be intermittently unavailable between 5AM and 6AM on Friday, June 17th in the following locations: 3201 Arch St., 3701 Market St., Paul Peck Problem Solving and Research Building, University Crossings, Daskalakis Athletic Center, Drexel Recreation Center, Dornsife Center, Nesbitt Hall, PSA Building, Language and Communication Center, Rush Building, URBN Center, Calhoun Hall, Caneris Hall, Kelly Hall, Millennium Hall, Myers Hall, Towers Hall, North Hall, Race Street Residences, Van Rensselaer Hall, and Greek Housing. During this time Drexel IRT will perform critical maintenance to improve network reliability and security.

Service Interruption to University Voice Mail

Wednesday, June 1, 2016 - 11:00 PM

Voice Mail was restored to regular operation for all locations on Thursday, June 02, 2016 at 2:00 AM. Beginning on Wednesday evening, June 1, at 11 p.m., Drexel University’s voice mail and voice menu applications will be unavailable for up to six hours while system maintenance is performed to increase capacity and reliability. During this time, telephone calls to the University that would normally reach a voice mailbox or a voice menu will be greeted with a brief announcement indicating that the university voice mail system is currently unavailable and callers should attempt their call again after 5 a.m. the following morning. Please note that telephone service will not be impacted by this maintenance; however, incoming callers that normally rely on a voice menu to reach their destination will be greeted with the announcement described above. This service affects the university voice mail system, which includes all university phone service beginning with the following numbers: 215-895-xxxx 215-571-xxxx 267-359-xxxx 215-553-xxxx 215-299-xxxx 215-405-xxxx Voice mail service provided by the College of Medicine or Tenet Healthcare will not be impacted by this maintenance.
