Honor Society Scams
These scams might not necessarily be scams by the strictest definition, but they are commercial ploys that seek to give you as little as possible for your money, and their market-speak isn't always truthful (it's very often misleading). However, even though they aren't full-blown phishing scams, you'll still want to be on the lookout for them and know when something is worth paying for, and when it isn't.
The following "commercial honor society" does exist and isn't precisely a scam, but this email's bad formatting and terrible grammar do reflect badly on an honor society requesting members with a 3.3 GPA or higher. Also, this society is full of lies. Drexel does NOT have any such chapter, and is in no way affiliated with this society. Avoid it, and delete it immediately if you receive this or a similar message.
