Blackboard Vista
Drexel IRT has been managing the same course management system for almost 10 years. We initially set up WebCT Campus Edition for hosting course sections in 2000. After a brief pilot, we began integration with the banner system in 2001 so that 'course shells' were made available to all instructors and were easily accessible to students. Since that time we upgraded to WebCTs enterprise product WebCT Vista, giving us a more flexible and robust learning environment. In 2005 WebCT was purchased by Blackboard, and the Vista product was added to Blackboard's suite of Course Management Systems. Blackboard currently has four separate CMS product lines (Campus Edition, Vista, Classic, and ANGEL) that it is working to merge into one called Blackboard Learn.
