Account Types and Eligibility
There are many types of accounts at Drexel. For simplicity, they're organized into three main groups.
Common Accounts
Common Accounts are automatically issued to everyone affiliated with the university.
Account Name | Used for |
| DrexelOne Account |
DrexelOne - email, courses, calendaring, news and announcements. Webmail is also available for this type of account. |
| Drexel Domain Account |
Starting computers secured by the Drexel Domain, access to file servers, access to Exchange (for faculty and staff), and other Windows-based services. |
Add-On Accounts (by request)
Add-on Accounts are provided upon request. Each add-on account type has its own eligibility rules.

Outlook and Outlook Web Access (email, contacts and calendar sharing for administrative personnel) |
LinkEdu (Students only) |
Email, collaboration tools, and other services from Google and Microsoft. These accounts have "drexel.edu" in the domain name and don't have ads. |
Dunx1 (Everyone) |
Personal file space (100 MB), personal website, general-purpose Unix shell, secure file transfer and secure shell access. |
Administrative Accounts
Administrative Accounts are used to access university-wide business systems. Requests for these types of accounts must come from department heads and are provided only to employees with specific business needs.
AIS
The office of Academic Informations and Systems (AIS) supports users on systems related to

- Financial Aid
- Student Resource Center
HRIS
The office of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) supports users on systems related to
- Human Resources
- Web*Finance
- Web*Salary
Administrative Accounts Contact
All the systems above use an Oracle (Internet Native Banner) password. For inquiries such as a password reset, or to schedule training on any of the administrative systems, you should consult your administrative contact.
