A Guide to Technology Resources at Drexel

Accounts and Identity

Pick up your Drexel computer accounts in the Computer Accounts Management System (CAMS) at https://accounts.drexel.edu. Set up your password recovery information when prompted.

With your accounts, you can access the services listed here and more:

  • DrexelOne (one.drexel.edu) portal account
  • Official @drexel.edu email address
  • Drexel Domain account (includes DragonFly3 Wireless Internet, Drexel Learn, IRT's software site, etc.)

Your Drexel username, which is used to log into these Drexel services, is in the format fml234 (first, middle, last name initials).

Identification

Find your University ID number at http://www.drexel.edu/irt/univid and in CAMS at https://accounts.drexel.edu.

Pick up your DragonCard (Drexel photo identification card) from the DragonCard office on the University City, Center City, or Queen Lane campus. More information can be found at http://www.drexel.edu/dbs/dragonCard/about.

You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of your personal information in Drexel's directory at http://www.drexel.edu/search. To update your information, email Human Resources at HRIS@drexel.edu.

Computer Account Services

When you have activated your basic computer account, it includes your Drexel Official Address (first.middle.last@drexel.edu) and a basic email account with 100 MB of space; most faculty and staff, however, will choose to create a 1 GB Exchange account. Email addressed to fml234@drexel.edu or to your Official Address will arrive in the same inbox.

Once activated, email can be accessed at https://mail.drexel.edu or via DrexelOne at https://one.drexel.edu.

Exchange Mail Account

In addition to the Drexel basic email account, an Exchange account with 1 GB of space is available to faculty and professional staff. An Exchange account facilitates the sharing of calendars, contacts, meeting invitations, and more. Request an Exchange account at http://www.drexel.edu/irt/accounts/setup/getExchange.

Exchange can be set up to utilize Outlook on your computer, smartphone, or via the Web at http://exchangeweb.drexel.edu. For instructions, search "configure email" at http://ask.drexel.edu.

Drexel University communicates important information to students, faculty, and staff via using the Drexel Official Address mentioned above. It is your responsibility to read your Drexel email regularly, either directly or by forwarding it to another account. Use the Computer Accounts Management Service at https://accounts.drexel.edu to manage your mail delivery options.

Backup and Data Recovery Account

Backup and recovery service is provided by Connected Backup/PC. Service can be purchased for individual computers at http://www.drexel.edu/irt/computers/backup.
